We all face moments of bad moods and crazy mood swings but here’s how you can snap out of it. Here are five things you can do today to lift yourself out of bad moods.

Start Your Day with a Grateful Heart

Begin your day by expressing gratitude to God for the blessings you have. Reflect on the positive aspects and good things happening in your life and give thanks. As Philippians 4:6 says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Meditate on the Word of God

Spend time meditating on uplifting verses from the Bible. For example, Psalm 34:17-18 reminds us, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Be Kind to Others

Acts of kindness throughout your day can improve your mood. It could be as simple as offering a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word to someone. Galatians 5:22-23 speaks of the fruit of the Spirit, which includes kindness and goodness. It says; But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

Pray and Worship

Set aside time for prayer and worship, connecting with God through prayer can help you cast your anxieties upon Him (1 Peter 5:7 says Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.. As you worship, you can experience the peace that surpasses all understanding according to Philippians 4:7 which says  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Reflect at the end of the Day

Before bed, reflect on your day and jot down your thoughts in a journal. Write about moments of gratitude, kindness you encountered, and how you felt God’s presence throughout the day. This practice can help you recognize God’s work in your life and bring you a sense of contentment.

    When I start my day with a grateful heart by meditating on the word of God. I’d surely speak kindness wherever I go, because I pray and worship the only king (GOD).
    End my day reflecting on my achievement for the day.
