Experience Toledo’s Eugenia de Montijo Hotel, Spain’s most beautiful and unique hotel with breathtaking architectural artworks.
I stayed at this five star historic hotel in Spain, and I have to say it was worth every penny and great value for my money. Here’s a little about this incredible hotel.
It was formerly the castle of Empress Eugenia de Montijo, who was the wife of Emperor Maximilian I of Mexico. It is now a historic hotel. This hotel was built in 1902 and has been renovated several times, most recently in 2015.
This hotel is nothing short of luxurious accommodations, beautiful architecture, and its proximity to many of Spain’s City’s most popular attractions. I had the best time here and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel’s unique style and comfort.Â
If you stay at the Hotel Eugenia de Montijo, you can enjoy many nearby activities in addition to luxury living as the hotel is walking distance to a lot of attractions. The hotel is located in the historic center of the city, so you can easily walk to many of the city’s most popular attractions. The hotel itself has a variety of amenities, including a restaurant, bar, and spa.
It is a typical example of neo-classical architecture, with marble floors, intricate moldings, and wrought-iron balconies. The rooms are spacious and elegant, with high ceilings, wood floors, and period furniture. There’s also a beautiful courtyard in the center of the hotel, where you can enjoy a meal or a drink in a tranquil setting.Â
And if you’re looking for a relaxing experience, the hotel has a full-service spa, called Aries, which offers a variety of treatments. I chose to stay in Toledo because it is particularly interesting to me, it has a special story as the City where people from the 3 different religions at the time, Muslims, Christians, and Jews, co-existed happily without persecution.Â
I’m big on tolerance, living happily together, and the live and let live mindset aligns with me completely. I’m also a big fan of the Marriott Autograph Collection with every autograph hotel having unique characteristics that make you feel like you are in a boutique hotel instead of in a hotel chain.
The Autograph collection hotels are one of my favorite Marriott Brand hotels. If you are visiting Spain or Madrid, Toledo is a must see and if you are a budget traveler, consider staying in Toledo and driving or taking the train to Madrid.
