Last week one of my colleagues in the US (an American not of Nigerian descent) sent me an e-mail asking about my experience working in Nigera, and asked if I would advice her to pursue that experience. I get this type of questions and requests from friends, family, colleagues and acquintances frequently and I respond to them by sharing some of what I have learned in my few years working in Nigeria.
While I have a lot of stories and experiences of my time here that I still plan to share on this blog, I have decided to hold onto some of them until I am safely back in the United States my home country. Funny how it took coming back to Nigeria to realize that this place which I thought was home no longer feels like home.
