Portugal: A Place of Rich History, Stunning Landscapes, and Timeless Charm

Portugal is a beautiful Southern European country on the Iberian Peninsula that i would like to visit again with my Kings summer next year. The last time i visited there was in 2017 summer with my Kings and we stayed in Obidos and it was such a memorable stay.

Cool Facts about Obidos

Obidos is a small town in Portugal that’s known for its medieval walls, colorful houses, and cobblestone streets. It’s often called a “storybook town” because of its picturesque fairytale-like atmosphere.

The town is also known for its annual Chocolate Festival, which takes place every April. During the festival, the streets are filled with chocolate vendors, and there are even chocolate-making workshops.

Also, the walls of Obidos were built in the 12th century to protect the town from invaders. The walls are still intact today, and you can walk along the top of them for incredible views of the town and surrounding countryside.

You can also explore the castle that’s inside the walls, which has been turned into a luxury hotel. Another cool fact about Obidos is that it’s home to one of the world’s smallest bookstores, Livraria do Castelo. It’s located inside a medieval tower, and it’s only about two meters tall!

This time around I’ll be in Algarve and Lagos area of Portugal, make I gist una small about Lagos, Portugal before you think it’s Lagos Nigeria 😂😂😂

Lagos is a town in southern Portugal’s Algarve region. It’s known for its walled old town, cliffs and Atlantic beaches. Steep wooden steps lead to the sandy cove of Praia do Camilo.

The nearby cliffs of Ponta de Piedade offer sweeping headland views and I can’t wait to be there. I’ll be staying at the famous brand-new hotel😍😍…….. yesss  I can’t wait!!!!
