Last time i was in London, i visited Ritz Carlton for a traditional afternoon tea. However it was Christmas time and they brought out the works so It was a pretty magical experience. When i entered this iconic hotel, I was greeted by the luxurious surroundings of the Palm Court, a setting that exudes old-world charm and grandeur. I remember vividly the rooms being bathed in natural light streaming through the exquisite glass ceiling, adding a touch of substantial beauty to the occasion.
I was seated at a table adorned with crisp white linens and delicate china, presented with array of teas from around the world. From classic English Breakfast to exotic blends infused with fragrant spices and florals, the selection caters to every palate. The knowledgeable staff are on hand to guide you through the tea menu, helping you choose the perfect brew to accompany your High Tea experience.
And then came the pièce de résistance – a three-tiered stand overflowing with irresistible treats. Delicate finger sandwiches filled with smoked salmon, cucumber, and egg salad, freshly baked scones with cream and cakes in which one carried a “happy birthday” wish on it because I was just counting days to my 44th birthday, it really made me so excited, which was almost too beautiful to eat.
As i sipped my tea, taking in the views before me, the soothing melodies of live music filled the air, creating a harmonious backdrop to the elegant affair. The atmosphere relaxed yet refined, invites you to linger over each morsel as you savor the moment.
