I want to talk about the first two hotels i stayed in while in Zanzibar! one of which is a luxurious hotel and another a budget hotel both beautiful and fantastic and I’m going to talk to you exclusively about the two so you can get ideas should in case you want to visit there.
Hotel Le mersenne
Hotel Le mersenne Zanzibar located in Michamvi, a few steps from Michamvi Pingwe Beach is a beautiful, clean, luxurious hotel with a serene environment and there’s so much I have to say about it ranging from the top notch services to decor, rooms and suites decorated in a luxurious, yet understated style with natural materials like wood and stone.
Each room has a private terrace or balcony where you can enjoy the views of the ocean and the gardens. The resort also has several restaurants, offering a variety of cuisines, from international dishes to local Zanzibari specialties. There’s also a full-service spa, a fitness center, and a variety of activities like yoga, snorkeling etc. I had a really great time here.
Asante Sana beach cottages
And the second hotel is the Asante Sana beach cottages. The cottages are built in a traditional Swahili style, with thatched roofs and carved wood details. Each cottage has its own private garden, with views of the ocean. The cottages are located just steps from the beach. it is a budget friendly hotel where I went for the celebration of my friend’s birthday party/her nieces and i must say this hotel gives really good deals. They picked me up from the airport as i landed in Dar es Salaam and took me to their resort, drove me to different excursions and even pay for them. The money you pay for accommodation covers your feeding; breakfast and dinner. it also covers your tours which will be arranged for you and lots more. It’s a really good deal for a budget traveler compared to another luxurious hotel where you spend wayyyy more for all these. Let me not even talk about the food because it’s a plus!
And another thing to love about Asante Sana beach cottages is the friendly staff. The staff are warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area and they can even help you plan activities. This place is a must visit!!!!!!
