Spring Break: Challenging Flights and Affordable Stays: Making the Most of the Journey
Our journey to the UAE began with a challenging flight from Houston. Despite the exhaustion and stress, we made the most of our trip by choosing affordable accommodation options. For our first night, we opted for the budget-friendly FORM A design hotel, as we were eager to start our adventure in Ras Al Khaimah the next day.
Spring Break: Luxurious Oasis in Ras Al Khaimah: The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach
In Ras Al Khaimah, we were fortunate to stay at The Ritz-Carlton Al Hamra Beach. This exquisite hotel offered a luxurious oasis with its private villas facing the sea. Each villa had its own pool and outdoor area, providing a serene and exclusive experience. It was a true delight to indulge in the pristine beach and enjoy the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff.
Falconry and Fun: Memorable Experiences in Ras Al Khaimah
One of the highlights of our time in Ras Al Khaimah was attending the falconry program at Banyan Tree Al Wadi. This unique experience allowed us to learn about wildlife and have an up-close encounter with these majestic birds. We also explored Al Hamra Mall, where the boys enjoyed some indulgent junk food and we had a private movie screening. The combination of relaxation and exciting activities made our stay in Ras Al Khaimah truly memorable.
Unwinding in Abu Dhabi: W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island Retreat
Continuing our journey, we arrived in Abu Dhabi and checked into the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island. Although jet lag took its toll, we took the time to unwind and enjoy the remarkable hotel. The Garage restaurant, known for its incredible brunch experience, impressed us with its delectable food and breathtaking views. Our luxurious W Suite provided a peaceful retreat, complete with an oversized tub and panoramic views of Yas Marina.

Abu Dhabi offered us breathtaking views and an array of culinary delights. The rooftop bar at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island provided stunning vistas from every angle, creating a perfect ambiance. Indulging in room service and exploring the state-of-the-art gym with its marina views added to our unforgettable experience.
Dubai Delights: W Dubai – The Palm Experience
Our final destination was Dubai, where we settled into the W Dubai – The Palm hotel. This luxurious hotel offered everything we desired: a beautiful beach, impressive pool areas, and a variety of excellent dining options. The rooftop bar provided a hip and vibrant atmosphere with remarkable views. Although our desert photoshoot didn’t meet our expectations, we were promised a free photoshoot on our next trip to Santorini, Greece.
Capturing Desert Memories: A Photoshoot and Promised Future Shoot
While in Dubai, we decided to capture memories with a desert photoshoot. Unfortunately, the initial results were unsatisfactory due to inexperienced photographers. However, the company offered a complimentary photoshoot during our next visit to Santorini, which we eagerly await.
Burj Khalifa VIP Pass: A Towering Experience in Dubai
During our time in Dubai, we had the opportunity to visit the iconic Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. With our VIP pass, we gained access to the upper floors, where we marveled at the breathtaking views of the city. Indulging in assorted bakes, desserts, and fine teas while sipping champagne in the premium lounge added to the extraordinary experience.
Dining in the Sky: Thrills and Tastes Above the City
We also embarked on a unique and thrilling experience of dining in the sky. Accompanied by my eldest son, King Alex, we enjoyed a memorable dinner high above the cityscape. The combination of delicious cuisine and the exhilarating setting created an unforgettable evening. However, I recommend not scheduling both the Burj Khalifa and dinner in the sky on the same day to fully savor each experience.
Convenient Bookings and Comfortable Stays: Making the Most of the Trip
Throughout our journey, I made direct bookings for our activities via the vendors’ websites. This allowed for convenience and flexibility, especially in case of any cancellations or changes. On our last night in Dubai, we returned to the budget-friendly Marriott hotel we had stayed at on our first night. It provided a comfortable and affordable stay near Dubai International Air
